Veeps has always been obsessed with music. This is one of the reasons he decided to move to Brooklyn from San Diego in the summer of 2010. He has been the DJ for multiple rappers/hip-hop groups and the drummer for various punk/indie bands on both coasts.
He is now dedicating more time in the home studio focusing on recording and producing his own original music. Some of his many influences include modern funk, hip-hop, trip-hop, roots, dub, ambient/chill/synth, darkwave, boogie, disco, electro, italo, house and techno.
In addition to his multiple DJ residencies in Manhattan and Brooklyn, he also currently curates Love Trunk NYC with DJ Hongo, a reoccurring event in New York City which highlights live modern funk acts, visual artists, creatives and vinyl DJs spinning funk, boogie, disco and house music from all across the globe!
